Being Late Does Not Work

You may have worked in an office setting or as a freelancer from home, where you can flex your hours each day.

There are few work environments as stringent as schools when it comes to being on time.   "The trains have to run on time."  Wouldn't that be great if it were still true?    Schools have a start time and an end time.   There is rarely a deviation.

If you are scheduled to arrive at 7:30 and your students arrive at 7:45, arriving late won't work.   In fact, early is always better.  Please take time to get your key or badge from the office, find and use the bathroom, read the lesson plans, and scan the attendance list so you don't miss any names.   If you have a hard time getting places on time.  This is not the job for you.   Buses are showing up and you have to be there.  End of story.
